Overview

TestZeus is an AI-powered testing platform that helps engineering teams create, schedule, and run automated tests with minimal manual effort.
As Lead Product Designer, I owned the end-to-end UX strategy—shaping how AI-powered testing workflows translate into clear, usable, and scalable product experiences

My focus was to simplify complex QA workflows and make advanced automation feel intuitive, fast, and trustworthy for engineers.

The Challenge

Engineering teams faced three core challenges:

Test creation was slow, inconsistent, and engineer-dependent
Regression cycles delayed releases
Existing QA tools were fragmented, configuration-heavy, and hard to adopt

The opportunity was to use AI not just for automation—but to rethink how testing workflows are designed and experienced.

My Role

As Lead Product Designer, I:

Defined UX strategy and product design direction
Designed core user journeys for test creation, scheduling, execution, and insights
Built interaction patterns for AI-assisted and conversational testing
Partnered closely with product and engineering to balance speed, feasibility, and usability
Established lightweight UX guardrails to keep design aligned as the product evolved rapidly

Design Approach

Prioritized clarity over heavy documentation to match a fast-moving product environment
Used early, low-fidelity flows to unblock engineering and validate direction quickly
Designed for progressive disclosure, reducing cognitive load in complex testing scenarios
Focused on “decision-first UX”—helping users understand what to do next, not just what the system can do

Impact

Improved alignment between design, product, and engineering
Enabled faster execution with clearer UX direction and fewer revisions
Helped shape a scalable foundation for AI-driven testing workflows
